Will the creator know I downloaded their reel?
IGDownPro does not use your logged-in Instagram session or interact with the Reel. Instagram controls its own notification behavior and can change it, so no downloader should promise absolute anonymity.
Why does my reel have a TikTok watermark?
Because it was in the source file. Creators who cross-post from TikTok upload a video with the branding already burned into the frames. No downloader can remove it without cropping or blurring the picture.
Does the downloaded reel keep its audio?
Yes. The MP4 keeps the audio track Instagram serves with the reel. IGDownPro does not currently create a separate MP3 file.
What resolution is a downloaded reel?
Reels are stored vertically, most commonly 1080 × 1920. You get the version Instagram hosts, unchanged. Instagram re-encodes on upload, so the file is not the creator's camera original and no tool can recover that.
Can I download a reel from a private account?
No. A private account's media is not publicly reachable, and IGDownPro will not use a login or session to reach it. If you can only see the reel while signed in and following, it is out of scope.
Why does the download fail on a reel I can see?
Usually the account went private, the reel was deleted, or the link points at a profile rather than a specific reel. Open the reel itself, copy the link from its own share menu, and paste that.
Is downloading Instagram reels legal?
Saving a public reel for personal offline viewing is generally low risk, but copyright stays with the creator. Re-uploading, monetising or advertising with someone else's reel needs their permission regardless of how you obtained the file.
