IGDownPro is published and operated by Northgate Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14827365, which has run the service since 2025. We are a small group of web developers, not a marketing agency and not a content farm — the downloader, the guides and the site itself are built and maintained by the same people.

IGDownPro is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. “Instagram” is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc., used here only to describe what the tool works with.

When you paste a link, our server requests the same publicly accessible media manifest that Instagram’s own web player requests, reads the direct CDN URLs out of it, and returns them to your browser. The preview and the final download are then fetched directly by your browser from Instagram’s CDN.

Nothing is transcoded, so the file you receive is the file served by Instagram’s CDN. Media bytes do not pass through our application server and nothing is written to disk on our side — which is also why there is no library of other people’s content here to browse or search.

• Login-based access to private accounts. It would require handling your credentials or session cookie. No.
• Watermark removal. If a creator’s branding is in the frames, it stays in the frames.
• Bulk profile scraping. The tool saves individual posts, and a profile lookup reads one account’s public header so you can confirm you have the right person. It is not a harvesting pipeline.
• Tracking and profiling by us. We run no analytics of our own, no cross-site pixels of our own, and we sell nothing about you. Advertising cookies set by our ad partners are a separate matter, disclosed in the privacy policy.

Every guide on this site is written by a person who has used the tool being described. Instructions are checked against the downloader’s actual URL parser, resolver strategies and result interface — not against what a competitor’s page claims.

• Nothing is published unverified. When Instagram changes a link format or a native download control, the affected guide and its visible updated date are revised.
• Numbers must be measured. Review counts, download totals and speed benchmarks appear only when they are supported by production data. Our star rating is derived from votes actually cast, and is withheld entirely until the sample is large enough to mean anything.
• Corrections are made, not buried. If we get something wrong, tell us at support@igdownpro.com and we will fix the page and move its updated date. We do not silently delete pages that turn out to be wrong.
• No AI-generated filler. Pages exist because someone needs the answer on them, not to occupy a keyword.

The tool retrieves content; what you do with it is your responsibility. Copyright stays with whoever created the post. Saving a Reel to watch offline is not the same as republishing it, and the second one usually needs the creator’s permission.
